Official says govt to decide on tax changes until mid-July
MOSCOW, May 14 (PRIME) -- The Russian government will prepare taxation system amendment proposals, and all the decisions will be passed during the spring session of the State Duma, parliament’s lower chamber, or until mid-July, Interim Finance Minister Anton Siluanov said on Monday.
“We have no plans to raise the personal income tax in our calculations… I think the government will be formed and the government will prepare new proposals. The government will announce and discuss these proposals, including taxes, in the State Duma,” Siluanov said.
The government is elaborating support measures for companies under the U.S. sanctions and is considering using Promsvyazbank for these purposes, Siluanov said.
The Russian authorities have already helped companies of Viktor Vekselberg, Siluanov said but declined to elaborate.
He also said that no final decision on his second job as the first deputy prime minister has been made so far.
